Yesterday morning I woke up and couldn’t believe that I was 39 weeks. I had an appointment with Dr. Horvath that morning to check my stats and see if I am progressing, there is a bit of debate on if Baby A will make an appearance Sunday or early next week. Let me back up…On Tuesday, Sara and Derek went to see my Massage Therapist Jessica Shannon who I have written about in the past. They had an amazing massage and then had their energy reading done. For both of their readings, Jessica indicated that Sunday was either going to be an amazing day, or the baby was coming that day. So now, we sit and wait and see what Sunday brings, but I do know that Renee and Jim, Derek’s mom and step dad, arrive Sunday so it will be a great day!
At my appointment, my Urine (yep still can’t aim) and blood pressure looked great. The heartbeat was right where it should be, and I was measuring around 40 weeks, looks like the baby might be big, hope it isn’t all the sugar I have been eating, YIKES! We then did a quick check to see if I was dilating and effacing and sure enough I was at a 1.5 and 50% effaced, so progress is happening.
After our appointment, we headed home, but not before we heard a huge crash outside the hospital and the guys rushed to see how they could help. Luckily all involved were not hurt, even though the truck was tipped over. Just a reminder to take it easy on the roads, obey the traffic signals and watch your surroundings. Oh and road rage isn’t necessary, we saw it in action as this guy was irritated he had to wait for the cops to go around him to help those involved in the accident. He drove by flipping the cars off around him, what a jerk!
Last night we celebrated Billy’s birthday again with my parents at a local Mexican restaurant we like. When we sat down, I started to get very uncomfortable and couldn’t really place why, then it hit me, I was having a contraction. So I waited for it to get worse and slowly taper off, which lasted for a few minutes. Nothing more than that one, but the baby is definitely getting ready to make his entrance.
We have had so much fun with Sara and Derek over the last week and I am going to miss not being able to see them often after they head back home. Earlier this week Sara came to both of my Bunco/Bunko groups and played as a sub and it was so fun to have her be part of my life and enjoy my friends as much as I do. I didn’t get a picture of my other group, but here are a few faces from one of my Bunko groups. Love my ladies, each and every one of you!
