On Thursday I entered into my 29th week, and I can’t believe how fast the time has gone by. At my appointment with Dr. Horvath this week I jumped on the scale, yep still gaining weight (does this ever get easy to see your weight increase week over week?), then peed on a stick to check for high glucose and protein in my urine. Next up was my visit with Dr. Horvath to confirm I was growing appropriately and all my stats looked good. My blood pressure was 115/64 which is right in line with where I should be. My urine was clear and no traces of Glucose or Protein. I did my glucose test the day prior at the lab and early results show that I passed, but I have to wait for an official call from the office to confirm.
Dr. Horvath chatted with me for awhile about my swelling, which is mostly on my left side. She didn’t seem to think this was anything to worry about given all my current results and said that this is just something that can happen while pregnant. The good news is that that cream I mentioned in an earlier post seems to keep the swelling down, not gone but down. I also got to hear the baby’s heartbeat and I am measuring right on target around 29/30 weeks.
After all my stats were done, Dr. Horvath and I talked about our visit the day before with the head Labor and Delivery nurse and wanted to confirm that we had all our questions answered. I reviewed a few key things with her, but in the end I think we have everything answered. The important thing right now is to make sure I have a healthy pregnancy and labor and get this baby here safe and sound with no complications. We started talking a little bit about a possible induction a week prior to by due date, but this is just preliminary at this time and we will make a decision on that later. I am feeling fantastic, nothing to complain about and can’t believe that I only have 11 weeks to go before Baby A is here.
