It has been weeks since I have written, mainly because not much is going on. After we had to cancel the last cycle, it has been a waiting game. I finally started my period, but we have 2 more days for Sara to start hers, or I will be put on Birth Control again and wait until she starts.
While we are waiting, I have been channeling my extra energy into my Ragnar Relay training for the upcoming Wasatch Back on June 19th. I have done this race once before and while I didn’t think I would do it again, it only took a few days after the last event for me to realize it was something I just had to try again. This time, I am in van 1 which starts in Logan. Lucky for me, I have an amazing Aunt and Uncle up there who will host our van for the night so we don’t have to get up so early and drive to Logan. My company is hosting the entire event for us, including all entry fees, van rentals, food and gas…why wouldn’t I do it?
Earlier I found out my sis-in-law was pregnant with their second child. I was overwhelmed with joy and wanted to share that I was getting close to getting pregnant as well, but of course I had to keep it secret until the big reveal. Their first child is 15 months and since they live so close I get to spend lots of time with him.
Recently we checked out the new Museum of Natural Curiosity in Lehi during the annual RCC event. I was a little nervous to attend this event knowing that I may run into some people I know and we weren’t ready to share our news. We met up with our friends Whittney and Brett (also distant cousins) at the event and we brought our nephew along for the fun. While we were there we ran into a few of my co-workers who had used RCC in the past. They were surprised to see me, but didn’t ask too many questions, assuming that one of our kids was conceived through RCC.
The following Monday at work turned out to be a bit more challenging. I was approached by a co-worker who said she heard from others that they saw me at the RCC event and she wondered if we were trying for another baby. I simply replied that we had done testing there in the past. Technically not a lie right? In addition, the person that approached me sits right next to my brother-in-law and I am sure she mentioned it to him. He hasn’t brought it up to me, but I bet he is wondering about it. The chatter has died down now, so I am just not worrying about it.
