Roughly each month my Mom, Cousin and Aunt get together to do a craft. For anyone that knows me, this is not my strong suit, so my stuff always tends to be a little less than perfect…okay a lot less than perfect. Yesterday was no exception, what started out as a perfectly easy paper heart craft ended in a bent sideways masterpiece. Is it still hanging on my door? You bet, why not show my crafting skills to the entire neighborhood???
However, I have to say that my other two crafts actually turned out really cute. We made a knock off of Mary Kay satin hands scrub as well as a jar full of goodies – I mean look how cute they turned out.
Later in the evening I headed over to a friend’s house to celebrate “The Three Kings” or as we called it “Baby Jesus” party. We should have had the party in early January, but a few people were out of town and sick so we pushed it off.
The party was actually just a cover for Good food, gut laughing and lots of drinking (not for me of course). After we feasted on 2 types of homemade Salsa and Guacamole and Enchiladas it was time for the baby Jesus cake. In true fashion, we also changed up this part of the tradition and made cupcakes and inserted the tiny baby Jesus. After each one of us grabbed a cupcake we bit in slowly to see if we were the lucky recipient, lucky or not it was Andrea that ended up with the cute little guy. If you got the baby Jesus you were the host for the Three Kings party next year.
We took endless pictures with the tiny little man, even one on my belly since this is sort like immaculate conception right? I mean my husband didn’t get me pregnant and I didn’t actually have Sex to get pregnant. So I guess it is the same thing…ha!
